DeepL 2025 Wrapped - Storyboard & Illustration

At the end of 2025, DeepL needed a video to recap a landmark year of new products, milestones, awards, and ecosystem launches. It had to feel cohesive and unmistakably on-brand, tying a wide range of achievements into a single story.

The project

Tie many achievements (Agent, Marketplace, Academy, Bridges, AI Labs, certifications, language milestones) into one narrative. Requirement: build inside DeepL's isometric Figma system, extended to a darker, technical palette, and structured to the script.

The solution

The concept is a motherboard, where each chip is a DeepL achievement and the camera travels the board before pulling back to reveal one connected system. I mapped the layout and camera flow in a blueprint sketch, then translated each area into a visual metaphor: compliance chips for certifications, a keyboard for language expansion, a dedicated processor for DeepL Agent.

Delivered as a 35-frame storyboard on DeepL's isometric components, with the board shown at multiple zoom levels and angles. Published December 2025.
